A dark night of murder lingers in the mind of a man, named Dark, who witnesses the brutal death of his family as a young child. After that night, a vow is instilled that would change his life forever. Living off the land with his surviving sister, Narveria, he pledges his life to hunting the creatures who he believes to be responsible for that dreadful night. This all begins to change however as a group of hired killers are employed to find him and try to bring him to a man that could answer all of his questions. Yearning to learn the truth about his past, Dark sets out alone on a journey to find this man, named Ramoth.Throughout this journey, Dark encounters many different creatures of werewolves and vampires alike, one being a werewolf named Varrian who seems to know him from some distant moment in time. Struggling through his journey, he experiences many strange events that portray that he is not your average human and as his expedition starts to come to an end, secrets are finally revealed. With the strange realization that he is the one who murdered the people he had once thought were his family, he discovers not only the truth of his past, but also his origins and his new found destiny.
